West Ham United are looking to strengthen their defence in this transfer window.
The signing of Max Kilman has already helped the Hammers bolster their backline, while Jean-Clair Todibo remains a player West Ham are keen on.
However, it’s not just the centre-half position that West Ham are looking to strengthen.
Indeed, the east London club are also looking at the right-back market.
Kyle Walker-Peters has been linked with a move to West Ham, but Aaron Wan-Bissaka is the player who has been most strongly connected with a move to the Hammers.
Speaking on mufcMPB’s YouTube channel, Ben Jacobs has been discussing West Ham’s interest in Wan-Bissaka, and he says that a deal is there to be done.
The journalist says that there aren’t many stumbling blocks between West Ham and getting this deal done claiming that the Hammers aren’t too far away from the £15m fee Manchester United want.
West Ham not far away from Aaron Wan-Bissaka agreement
Jacobs shared what he knows about the defender.
“I don’t think there are many stumbling blocks. Manchester United have been transparent in that they’re looking for a minimum of £15m. So it’s on West Ham to figure out if they think that is value,” Jacobs said.
“My understanding is that the figures that are being discussed aren’t too far off at the moment, which leads you to think there’s a deal to be had.”

West Ham’s incredible defence
It’s not an exaggeration to say that West Ham could have one of the best defensive units in the Premier League next season.
A potential centre-back partnership of Kilman and Todibo is pure quality, while Wan-Bissaka, for all of his faults, is an incredible defender.
Add in Alphonse Areola in goal and the fact that West Ham are said to be interested in N’Golo Kante, and you have a team that should keep clean sheet after clean sheet next term.
West Ham could be building something very exciting under Julen Lopetegui.
